i need to stop!!!!

Hi everyone.
I have a 89 iroc with 4 disc brakes.
Honestly, its brakes suck.
I have new pads, new lines, new fluid.
The only thing left to change is the master cilinder but we checked it completely and its ok.
what else shoul i do?
is there a special kind of pads for these cars?
I push harder and harder but the car cant even lock the wheels.
thanks for your help

Ditto. This is definately the problem. I had a complete aftermarket parts setup on the factory brake system- braided lines, new original caliper, Stillen pads, stillen rotors, new booster- and the car got to the point where I could not lock any wheel for anything. It was a gradual fade over the years of owning this car and I figured upgrading everything would help- It didn't...

...Until I swaped from the old combination valve to a 4-disc 1LE combination valve.
The 1LE 4 wheel disc are much better than the non-1LE 4-wheel disc valve.

Your only problem is figueing out which 1LE prop valve you will need-Why?- because you have the cutoff year where they made the switch from 1.5mm thread pitch to 1.0mm thread pitch. The older and the newer 1LE valves are both identical internally but the brake line threads are different. They cut off MID year in '89 so some '89's are the earlier, and some are the later.

I have a pre 89 1/2 car so I used the14089496 1LE valve. If you do a search on "1LE prop valve" there should be lots of listings on the two different part #'s
