cheapest front brake upgrade with stock 15s?

Engine: forged 357
Transmission: 700r4, 2200-2400 stall, vette servo
Axle/Gears: stock pegleg 2.73 drum (temp)
cheapest front brake upgrade with stock 15s?
I'm kind of in the mood for better stopping power, but nothing overkill. I'm maybe willing to sacrifice a few hundred bucks to stop better. It's not a priority right now but I've been lurking. The 1LE brakes wouldn't work with my current brake hoses (earl's SS) but would anything else?

Yep, I keep forgetting the 1LEs will fit in those wheels. Still, for the money, I'd run the C4s. But why do you say your hoses won't work with the 1LEs?
