Emergency Brake Problems ...
My car failed inspection because the E-Brake wouldn't hold, and didn't have enough reserve. In order to fix this problem, I went under the car, and tightened the "T" connection running along the drive shaft.
It solved the problem, and my E-brake handle now only went half way up, and held great with plenty of reserve.
Until today when I went to release it, and there was a loud BANG. Sounded like a spring popping or something. Now my ebrake is back to the way it was before I fixed it. (barely holds, and handle goes all the way up to the stopper)
IS there an easy fix, like a spring or something that popped off, or should I go down and try re-tightening again. I have an appointment for re-inspection tomorrow morning at 9am.
Thanks for any help.

I'm afraid only you can answer your question by going back underneath your car and having a look at the cable etc.

Not the answer I wanted to hear, but thanks for the reply.
If it wasn't raining right now, I'd be under there as we speak.

Rain let up, and I was able to get the car up and take a look.
It seems like the brake cable from the passanger side rear drum leading to the e-brake "T" connection is stuck. Therefore when I release the e-brake, that side cable doesn't release and the ball at the tip that connects to the "T" pops out. The only reason it partially holds is because the "T" connection twists and at the very end grabs on the drivers side.
I don't think the cable is stuck too tight, cause the wheels spin freely. How would I go about fixing this problem??
Thanks for any comments.
