Line Lock Wires

Line Lock Wires

I'm putting in a line lock and was wondering if i need to use an inline fuse when wiring it up ....i didn't get instructions

All circuits in your vehicle should be protected by a fuse or circuit breaker.

Measure the resistance of the solenoid. Then use the formula

E=I * R

E is voltage. Id used 14v for that

I is the current or amperage. Thats the number you are trying to find.

* is what i use for the multiplication symbol.

R is the resistance. You measured that.

Youll want to use a fuse higher than that but not by much. Make sure the wire you use is capable of carrying the current also.
