Brake Lines
Brake Lines
Hi,I have a 89 camaro with badly rusted rear brake lines.I need to know if ALL the lines on the car are ISO bubble flare before i tear into repairing it.I know the axle lines are bubble flare because i've had them off before...but is the main line running from the frt of the car to the back also bubble flare or metric inverted flare?I've never had it off and once i break it off i don't want any suprises. Please only anwser if you know for sure..i don't need any guesses. Thank you

I too have an '89 but I haven't removed all the lines, just the rears when I switched to PBR discs. My solution was simple, convert all of the lines to double flaired. Since you are going to replace most of the lines it would make sense as bubble flairs are very difficult to make by hand.

BTW - Found out yesterday as I began my prop-valve swap, it is all bubble flair - front to rear!
