brake conversion
Looking for some fab help, looking to switch over to a 9 in. My 7.5 has the rear disc setup, and wondering if anyone has tried putting them on a 9 in housing, my rotors, pads, and suprise, suprise--calipers are new, so no worry about them. Any Ideas???

If you're talking about 9- and 10-bolt rear discs, the only difference is the backing plates.

He's mentioning a 9 inch, not 9 bolt, so it should depend on who made the rear and what flanges they put on it. If they installed "10 bolt" flanges on it, they should bolt right up.

I'm working on this right now. I am assuming you have a Moser rear? Here is a link to a thread about it. The link at the end by IROCZZ3 is exactly what I needed to figure it out.

thanks for the post, i tried searching earlier, but way too much to try and look through to get what i wanted, the rearend is actually a "junkyard" assy that i had, have new gears and a spool to put in it, have cut it to size, welded my brackets on (using coil-overs) and working on a rear brace. Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but shouldn't the specs for the bearrings be the same no matter if it is a bolt in unit or not? Thanks
