Brake Q's

Ok, I am going to ask some stupid questions, but I don't know the answers, so be gentle.

I know what a rotor and caliper are. I just don't know what the brakets, hubs, etc are.
Here are the I think I knows...

I think that the hubs are where the rotors mount to the axles.
Ditto that the brackets are what tie the spindel or axle housing to the caliper.

Like I said, stupid questions.... Any pictures would be a great help. Any time I can see something apart and have someone tell me what the parts are, I can remember what it is and how it works. My dad did that with an old 350, and I got it the first time.
Thanks, guys.

The big LS1 brake thread over in FAQ can answer most of those questions but you seem to have it right. Pics help a lot and there's plenty in the LS1 thread.

Cool, guys. Thanks. I'll read through it all and see if I come up with any questions.

Another thing. Where can I get some Hawks HPS brake pads for the front and rear ASAP? I need them soon, cause I plan to get the rear changed either this week or early next. I'll replace the front rotors (maybe) and front pads at the same time. Thanks.

How about Wagner ThermoQuiets? They any good? I had a friend with a 99 Camaro recomend them. They are a little cheaper than the Hawks, and according to him, what I want. Good, but not really expensive. Low dust, good stop, little fade.. no S&H.
