Brembos

Are Brembos any good? I want a set of smooth surface rotors to avoid eating pads and cracking the rotor surface. I just want a good set of rotors that won't warp like my current ones (hehehe). If these aren't that good, please make a recomendation.

Yes - the plain Brembo rotors are good. I have them on our daily drivers, and will be putting them on my Z when the time comes.

I used Hawk HPs pads and bedded them in properly - and they work great....

Thanks. I am looking foward to getting some new rotors. Do you drive hard on them? I don't want them to warp like my old ones.

My wife's car is hard on brakes (she has a 2000 Grand Prix, big heavy car which is well known for being underbraked from the factory) - they have held up well. My car is fairly easy on brakes (Civic) - I warped the originals, but haven't hurt my Brembos.

My buddy had them on his 4th gen, and he is merciless on brakes - he recommeded them to me. You'll be happy with them.

No problem - happy to help.

Check out Tire Rack - front rotors are $40 and rears $42, pads are $48/$59 respectively.

I know. I looked into the rotors after I bought the Hawks pads. Makes sense, right. Ah, your right, it don't. When you consider it is the rotors that warped and not the pads....
