Warped rotors

Anyone know the main cause of rotors constantly warping. Im on my 3rd set in about 8-10 months. I had the last 2 pair replaced free but not the first. I know the first pair warped b/c i was washing my car and rims while they were still hot. I stopped that. I do alot of heavy braking (interstate, Memphis drivers, etc.) but nothing that should cause me to be going thru rotors this fast.

The only ones i have bought are the Advanced, and Napa 30$ each brand w/lifetime warranty but they are still warping on me. This is what i did the first brake go around.

All these part are brand new:

Front: Calipers (reman.), Ceramic pads, Slide pins, brake lines, rotors, inner bearings, outer bearings, bearing(rotor) seals, castle nuts, cotter pins, grease, dust caps.

Basically everthing.

Plus alittle tid bit of info. Everywhere i go i have to buy wheel bearings for a 1992 Z28 instead of a 1991 gta b/c the ones they always give me are too small for some reason. Ill go through my junk and see if i can get some part #'s.

How long have you been running ceramic pads?

4 questions for you -
a) What kind of rear brakes do you have?
b) Are you seeing any steaks or blueing on the rotors?
c) Do you have an original master cylinder?
d) How often had your brake fluid been changed prior to the problems?

Two common mistakes:

1. Parking the car with hot rotors. Try to adjust your driving routes/habits so you can get a little cool down in at the end of your trips, and make your last few stops as gentle as possible.

2. Heavy braking with new rotors. I know it's tempting to want to test new parts out, but you shouldn't. Instead, you should avoid heavy braking for at least a few days worth of gentle driving, to stress relieve the metal.

Here's a reprint of Baer's instructions for rotor prep.
Pay attention to the paragraph on rotor seasoning.

In close to 10 years of following a similar procedure for rotor break-in, I have yet to warp a rotor. Back in my younger days before I knew much about brakes, I warped quite a few, usually right after I installed them. (yup, I just HAD to "test 'em out" )
