emerceny brake issue

I just swapped my brothers disc brake rear end into my drum brak car. Everything was going fine unitl we had to try out the e-brake. the cables seem to be too long for the new E-brake system. Is there enough adjustment in the adjuster thing to compensate, so should I trim the cables to fit?

You need the correct cables for your application.
