LT1 Brakes

In the middle of my swap, do the calipers face the front or rear of the vehicle? Thanks

So what you are saying is, mount the left backing plate on the right, and the right on the left, If you do that your e/brake cables and brackets will be A.F.U., in other words, they will probably hit the LCA's, and the brake lines will not match up, there is no gain from the calipers placed in the front vice the back that I am aware of, as I mounted my LS1 98-02 (rear) brakes on my IROC 10 bolt rear in the rear position (same as the early pbr rear brakes), by switching the mounting plates from left to right, and reversing the e/brake cable inner hardware, understand that LS1 rear brakes have a separate E/brake within the rotor, unlike the early pbr style 89-97 brakes, and since I had spent $100 on the earls lines already, for the early pbr style brakes, it only made sense to do that as, it reqired just thought, and no mods at all, and I will bet you that I was the first person to figure that one out......just understand, anything can work, as I have been doing things like this for a long time, and when it comes to brakes, they are the only thing that can save you from bitting glass,.........but, I still ask myself the same Q, If I can use what I have and not have $parts sitting around collecting dust I will, I try not to recreate the wheel that works already, If you got any Q's, I will probably have an answer for you, Jeff.
