can I adapt Lt1 rear disc brakes to a 3rd gen rearend
I have a 4th gen disc rear and I want to switch back to a 3rd gen rear and I need to know if the 4th gen LT1 rear brakes will swap over to a 3rd gen disc or drum rearend. If so, then all I really need is an empty 10 bolt housing and new axles. The rest should swap w/o problem.

if its a 10 bolt, and you have the correct bracket to fit your rearend, its a bolt on deal besides lines, and i think something special about the e brake.
its been a while since i helped do a set.
i believe they are close(or identical) to the 89-92 PBR system on 3rd gens.

so as long as the rear I find has the original brake brakcets for the disc setup then I should be ok then. Is using a drum rear out of the question?
