Baer brakes, different rotors?

Ok, got Baer brakes on the phone and just priced out replacing the rotors for my Sport front and rear setup... for plain zinc coated rotors..

$780.00

Holy shiznit, they are not gold plated! They aren't even two piece.

Anyone know of a different brand that fits or a store with a better price?

Yes, they are different rotors than you will find on the store shelves, MUCH better quality and heavier castings...I have two sets in the shop and I'll try to post pics tomorrow. The difference is really impressive.

DBA Austrailia makes all of Baer's rotors. You can get them from various vendors here in the US but they are NOT cheap.

Which kits do you have and I'll tell you what will fit.

I have the sport 12 inchers front and rear.. the fronts are thicker and directional the rears are thinner and vented.

Fronts: You're out of luck, Baer is your only option. I have looked everywhere and cannot find a one piece 12" x 1.1" front rotor. I think DBA makes these specifically for Baer. now, if you want to go with a two piece, that can be done no problem but they will be somewhat pricey due to being two pieces, it may be awash either way;

Rears: Buy rear rotors for a '93-97 f-body, they'll bolt right on.

OK...here's some comparison pics between a standard off the shelf C5 rotor compared to a DBA Brakes rotor. DBA makes all rotors for Baer and they are VERY good rotors. The difference in weight between the DBA rotor and the Raybestos rotor seen here is 6 pounds! DBA rotor is 25#, Raybestos rotor is 19#:
