9-bolt disk to a 10 bolt drum rear
i have anb 89 formula with a 9 bolt in it and it needs to be rebuilt bad, it has alot of backlash and the posi doesnt work anymore, and my dad had an old 10 bolt open drum rear and i was curious if anyone could tell me what it would take to change the 10 bolt to disc, im trying to use most of the parts off the 9 bolt to save money like the calipers and the rotors any help is appreciated

The '89 9 bolt has the PBR calipers correct? Then all you'd need to do to swap the discs over would be 10 bolt disc backing plates and a little mods to the axle flange. You won't even need to disconnect the brake lines if you don't want to, just leave them hanging there. The axle flange mods are covered in the tech article section but it's fairly straight forward.

through GM the 10 bolt backing plates are $15.87 each
