why when i press the brake pedal it sounds like air leaking ? poor braking too

why when i press the brake pedal it sounds like air leaking ? poor braking too

Hi ...i was testing a 82 camaro
and something strange happened
if i keep pressed the brake pedal ...it sounds
like "TSSSSSSSSSSS" from the pedal.
the brakes are poor and the strange thing
is this sound,it sounds like that all the time if i keep the pedal pressed !!!
thanx !
is it dangerous ?
its a malcfunction ?

Sounds like the brake booster is leaking. You need to get this fixed ASAP. Brakes that arnt working right is always a problem.
