LT1 brakes on a 3rd gen?
Could LT1 brakes be used? Im upgrading my 1995 Trans Am to a Baer Track Kit and was wondering if I could use the LT1 rotors and calipers as a slight upgrade for my 1983 Trans Am, since I've got them lying around.

That's the process I'm in the middle of getting ready to do myself. You will need the backing plates for a 10 bolt from the later 3rd gen years, 89-92 I believe. Then you will probably have modify your axle flange to make it work. Ed Miller can give you all the answers to your questions. He knows his stuff. There will be other miscellaneous parts to get like ebrake cables and such. When you do a search on LT1 brake conversion you will see those who have done this and what parts and mods they did to get to work right. Good luck..
