rusty rotors
I had my brakes done (J65) Just before I tore the vehicle down for rebuild and all my uprades to chasis. Well I just was looking around to check fitment for my sub-frame connectors and my rotors are completely rusted. Is ther anything that needs to be done to the before I rip out of the driveway? Been sitting for 2+years!

Can't be too heavy just sitting around, use about 180 grit sandpaper on both sides, that'll do the trick.

Hey Jetmeck thanks for the reply! Just thought about doing the same as you mentioned but wanted to check. There is no major chunks falling off or anything just totally rusty and I didn't want to put anything on them.

That'll clean them up nice and give the pads something to bite into. Just don't put any WD-40 on the rotors to keep them from rusting like a guy did in another thread !
