rear disc brake pads, anyone have a part number?
Looking for a set of rear brake pads for the older style calipers. All the local parts stores can come up with is a set for the PBR brakes. Anyone have a part number or photo of the right pads?

Use the same ones as on the front, just dont run anything with a hard compound or they wont do a single thing unless you get them hot from numerous hard stops. The only difference front-rear is one end of the pad has a portion of the tab for the squealy warning tab cut in half. They will fit though without modifying a thing.
If the places you are going cant find the right pads... I'd be real worried. Thats pretty stupid. IIRC the actual rear pad number is 7070e, I forget the D number but I saw a D202 so thats probably it. The fronts are 7070 and the D is D154, either will work on the rear. BTW almost all that came from memory and I havent sold parts in 10 years... doesnt say a lot for your parts store guys

Wow, that's hard to believe. There must be some sad part stores in your area.
The rear brake pads most likely will have a 154 in the part number for the early brakes. The later PBR's are 413. Just do a search on www.partsamerica.com, www.autozone.com, or www.napaonline.com for the part number. A Bendix brake pad would be a D154.

Well I went to Advance and the first ones he pulled off the shelf were a set of Fronts. I'll look up the numbers you guys just posted. And yes, the guys at the parts counter are clowns.
