I had them and they sucked when cold. These were the non Z-rated pads BTW.

It took a few miles to warm up. When people cut me off, i'd put the pedal all the way to the floor and it would stop, but it was a hair raising experiance. When warm, ok, but liked to lock up. I wouldn't recommend them.

Just threw a pair of Z-Rated on the TA for a track day. They worked really well, no weird lock up or anything. I didn't push them that hard, the stock 10.25" would fade fast after a lap or so. I ran the others on my old Typhoon and never had any issues either. Lots of dust though.

PF Z-rated pads work for me on all four corners. Warm them with a few stops coming out of the driveway and no problems. What I like is no noise & no brake dust. Just put my second set on and my only compliant is the price increase for the PBR pads for the rear since my last purchase five years ago.

Their are two types- Reg PF carbon met. & the Z-Rated Met which I use. No brake dust and no problems stopping even if cold. My brake pedal never get near the floor in even panic stops.

SO you are saying that the non Z rated take awhile to warm up and the z rated don't?

I run the z rated with the pbr baer kit. Buy at auto zone with lifetime warranty

Good results on track day car.

Very Rotor Friendly

Make sure your burnish them before track use. When the pads de gas you have no brakes. Full pedal but no friction.

After break in they are fine.

I had the Raybestos Quiet stop and I noticed they put alot of dust on my wheels so I changed to the PF Z rated. Alot better on stopping power and made less dust.

I have owned both versions (on many cars, my T-Bird, GN, Camaro, F150, etc...) and always found them to be excellent. Sure, it takes a little longer to warm them up, but they have to because they are a better compound for braking performance. Bottom line is, if you want the increased performance from the braking, the trade off is they take a little longer to warm up than the crappy non performance pad will. I can't imagine complaining about it, it would be like whining about an IROC riding harshly. lol. Get the pads, you won't be disasspointed. The Z-Rated pads are the real performance pads (Severe Duty), but their regular version works great too.
