rear brakes, need help

rear brakes, need help

1985 IROC

replacing the rear pads and rotors, and i cant get the the piston to sit back in the piston on the drivers side, I disconnected the ebrake and am using a c clamp but the piston wont go back in. any suggestions

Transmission: A4, A4, slated to be a T56
You have an '85, those pistons screw back in, they won't just push in, you have to rotate the piston as it goes back in. There is a tool for it, Auto Zone should have it, or use a set of needle nose pliers to do it.
