I've got a beef with rear disc brakes
..and my beef is the emergency brake, it sucks!
I swapped out my 10 bolt rear end with aluminum drums for a 9-bolt with disc. Ran new brake lines, prop valve and got everything up and running. Bought the new and correct GM emergency brake cables (not jobbers).
I've had this on my car for about a year now and I've crawled under the car and tightened the ebrake cable at least a dozen times - which is a real PITA because the adjustment is up and above the driveshaft. I've added like 20 larger nuts to take up slack to make adjustment easier but now I'm darn near out of adjustment and the ebrake still doesn't hold! And yes each time I adjusted the brake I ensure it wasn't dragging.
Heck on a perfectly flat parking lot it takes little more then a strong gust of wind to move the car (unless it is in gear). I live in the Rocky Mountains in BC so I use my ebrake every single time I drive the car, whether its for parking or stopping to chat, etc. It is a nessessity!
Makes me wish I kept the drum rear end, just for the ebrake!
Anything I can do to make it work better?

nope, no PBR's here.. I don't think. I'm pretty sure the rear came out of an '88 GTA. How can I tell if they're PBR or not?
