ls1 master cylinder in an 86 iroc? help!

hey guys i have upgraded my fornt brakes to 2004 zo6 brakes and will be doing the rear soon. id like to change the master cylinder but i hear the beake line fittings are different from 82-86 vs. 87-92. i see most people make new lines to the prop valve......but will lines fit with ls1 master cylinder to my prop valve? what are my options guys?

Here is a thread I started awhile back. I did the LS1 master swap. It wasn't too hard but I di end up making my own lines to the prop valve.

To be able to say that you have a LS1 master cylinder. I would say a cleaner look.

Well it is in part to have a cleaner look and a master cylinder res cap that is easy to close and open. The main reason is because of the smaller piston diameter. From what I read the piston design and size affects pressure there by affecting clamping force. For some reason a smaller diameter creates more pressure.

I just installed an LS1 master cylinder in my 85 IROC. Bolted right in. I had to bend the lines a little but that was it. My car had the same metric bubble flares as the LS1. I heard that it was only 82 and 83 that had the american thread fittings, but I dont remember the source. Should bolt right up on your 86.
