master cylinder difference v6/v8

master cylinder difference v6/v8

are they different at all?

caz my master cylinder cap broke,
but i have a v6 and I finally found one new
online for 10$.

but it says its for 305TBI.
there's no pic in the site.. I know they look the same
but was wondering if they were exactly the same for fitment.

thanks!!

PS: do they sell these in local auto shop usually? oh well im bout to find out..

I never noticed a difference...My girls camaro had a MPFI 2.8 and we swapped it for a carb'd 350 and kept the same master cylinder and booster. havn't had any problem.

cool.. thats what i thought!

anwyays how hard is it to swap a master cylinder?

it doesnt look too hard to me,
but anything i should be aware of?

It's just as easy as it looks. the booster is a little more just because it bolts to the firewall and you have to get under your dash.
