Pulling brakes
i have a 1984 z-28 with front end disc brakes and rear drums, when i purchased it the front calipers had problems with sticking and the rotors and wheel bearings were crap. the car liked to walk all over when i hit the brakes. i thought id fix the problem by replacing the front calipers, pads, rotors and both inside and outside wheel bearings, i also intended to replace the front brake hoses too, but we know how stubborn those can be, i bled a lot of fluid through to make sure there wasnt any rust backed up in them and to make sure they flowed well, they both did. anyways installation went well, no problems what so ever. but my car still pulls to the left when first applying the brakes. just to see if i had a problem with one side having more stopping power i slammed on the brakes the other day coming into my driveway about about 20mph, both front brakes locked up but the left side locked up long before the right did. could i have a bad master cylinder? or is there a metering valve that could be garbage in there somewhere? and has anyone else had this problem. i also take into acount that my car has not had an alignment done for nearly 8 years. i figured ill take it in after i put in my new rear axle (which is disc braked) i figure ill start with simple sollutions like bleeding the right side caliper again to see if any air was left in it.

Hoses take only a couple of minutes.
Just make sure you use a bright drop light.
Lack of light might make it non-obvious where
to apply your two wrenches, and how to R&R
that clip in the middle.

A while back, mine would also pull hard to the left when the brakes were applied, lots of fun on ice or gravel. Turns out, both line were ready to rupture, the right was worse off than the left. Since you pull to the left like I did, you most likely have a problem with the right side holding pressure. I would check and/or replace your flexible lines.
Here is what they looked like.

after inspecting the hoses i determined they did not need replacing according to exterior conditon. obviously they could have internal problems. like i said i plan to bleed the left caliper again to make sure i didnt leave any air in it.

The hoses are 22 years old (unless they've been swapped along the line), so they probably should be replaced one way or the other.
