Brakes
Hello,
My name is Wayne and I own a 1992 Chevy Camaro RS with a 305. I want to replace the old style front rotor and hub assembly with the newer style rotor that just slips on. I like the ease of just sliding the rotors on and off when need. What year car would be a good match to get the parts required or is there any hope. I'm trying to do this on a low budget so I can spent more on other parts of the car.
Thank You.
P.S. I read your article from Third Gen.org. So far I had done several different mods that I read on these sites. Thanks for all the great ideas.

Welcome to the site. If you're talking about replacing the OEM rotors with soemthing that's cross-drilled or slotted, you have many aftermarket choices. If you're talking about bigger rotors (and calipers), then modification to the spindles will be required. A
will provide a ton of info.

I am not aware of any rotors that will be the same size as the stock ones you have now and slip over a modified factory Hub/rotor. Most people here who are modifying their brakes are cutting the factory rotor off the cast in hub then upgrading the whole this to either LS1, C4 vette, C5 vette, or C6 vette brakes. I have just completed the C5 vette swap and I will let you know how well it is doing after i brake in the new parts.
