I'd really like to help (if I can). Slow down and explain. Some punctuation and spelling would be helpful.

Ok the self taping factory screws in the bottem of the backing plate broke off.
Im thinking ill have to drop the axle as i can not get a drill up in there. How can i drop the axle and pull it out to get enough room?

Drum or disc? Backing plate or dust shield?

Might as well inspect or replace the bearings and seals, change out the oil in the differential.
