what brakes are on my 92 rs they look smaller than whats on my 83. i have cast crap on my 83, would it be worth it to upgrade to the 92 brakes. would they fit? or should i go for 4gen brakes

 

The front rotors on both should be 10.5. Upgrades, to front and rear, are common.

so the 92 and 83 car both came with iron calipers unless they were upgraded.

 

On the fronts, yes, and the rears until 88. The rear discs in 89-92 J65 cars had 11.7 rotors with alum calipers (PBR's), so those cars had the small rotors with iron calipers up front and larger rotors with PBR's in the rear. GM, good grief. Here's what the entire 1LE package looks like:

I got myself some free 1LE brakes. I got a parts car and it had some nice stuff. now I wont have to buy the parts and the spindles are allready modified. I checked them out last night and dissasembled them everything looks awsome. someone spent some money on the car. had hooker exhust also, almost new. 3" thanks for the link
