Brake Fluid

Car: 87 Trans Am, 89 RX7
Engine: 350tpi,350carb
Transmission: T-5,t56
Axle/Gears: 3.42 Posi,4.11 posi
Brake Fluid

My friend told me that brake fluid must be used as soon as the bottle is opened, he said it goes bad otherwise, but he couldn't tell me why. I figure as long as the cap is on won't the fluid still be good or will it go bad?

It will absorb water vapor (mosture)However you spell that, so it is better to use it as soon as possible....
