Installed rear LS1 brakes!!!
Hey guys i just installed a set of Used LS1 rear brakes that i found on a wrecked Camaro here in my local area for $80.00 everything for the rear.
i also bought the fronts for $100.00, but i had to order the big brake upgrade for $400.00(knuckle/brackets/hubs) so the fronts are not on yet i get the kit tomorrow. sorry Mr ED but i didnt know at the time that you were sell these kits. but i will have all LS1 brakes for $580.00 not bad. i will post the front pics when i get them installed. also i have a 4th gen 1994 Z-28 rearend with LT1 rear brakes already in the back, made the mod a lot easier.

any advantage over the single piston factory pbr rear disc brake. i want to upgrade so i can adapt the baer eradispeed 12" sport rotor but i don't want to pay the $800 for their kit to do it. you did this with a factory rear or no?

yes i am running GM factory 1994 LT1 Z-28 rearend. as far as a upgrade over the older pbr i dont really know all the specs. see i had the LT1's rear pbr brakes that came with the stock rearend and just bolted on newer style LS1 brakes(which are still made by pbr). the rear LS1 brake pads are bigger (not by much) and the rear rotors are also bigger(about 1/2 inch)
i found them cheap so thats why i put them on, new brake systems = better stopping power.
i will be adding som hawks pads soon and i cant decide on blank normal rotors or cross drilled slotted rotors. .........
