it just hit me that i have found a small snafoo here...
i bought a 9" housing axle package for the 82-02 f-body, but heres the thing
ls1 rear brakes (what it calls for, for least work involved) is a c clip axle, and a ford 9" isn't, my question is did moser leave somthing out, or have i severly overlooked somthing here???
any help is appreciated

i ordered a 9" moser complete package for a 82-92 camaro but with LS1 housing ends. everything bolted right up using stock LS1 brakes
i was talking to slowls1 today and he told me that my ls1 rear kit isn't complete, he told me that they have three plates, all i have is the large backing plate for the drum park brake and the caliper braket, which would explain a few things....
it's a shame, orderinf a complete ls1 rear brake setup and then it not being complete, thats ebay for ya!

I am setting up the same rear end , I just have not picked up my housing yet it is at the terminal and it is a 3hr drive. So probaly do that saturday. I was on the phone with Moser yesterday asking about brake set up. If you got your brakes off a 93-97 LT1 set up you have to use a shim, to use the LT1 set up. It should be included with your housing with directions and all. If you use brakes off of 98-2002 LS1 it is an LS1 set up and you do not have to use the shim kit. The LS1 set up uses the housing bracket with a backing plate attached to it then it holds a set of shoes that are the emergency brakes set up. I thought the backing plate and the bracket were all in one, but you must be missing the housing bracket. I will add some pictures I found , which are the LS1 set up. Is this what you have in the pictures? I am using the LT1 set up myself. Just for e-brake cable issues. Hope this helps you , Roger
well i got to looking at the instructions today and the axles use the brake caliper bracket to hold the axles in..... which is weird because if you do not press it on just right it could cause problems with things lining up.... it's defanantly going to be a interesting assembly to say the least

the backing plate once pressed on can flip flop around a little at the end of the axle to be bolted on properly, just make sure you bolt them facing the right direction and the proper LH and RH plates are on the proper axles.
