Leaky Master Cylinder Reservoir! Help!

Hey all,

The master cylinder leaks where the reservoir connects to it on top. The lid and gasket are in good shape. Is there a replaceable o-ring or something that fits between the aluminium master cylinder and the plastic reservoir to fix this? (hopefully it isn't press-fit - i dont wanna fork out for a reco mc). I have just repainted the engine bay, and don't want to wreck the paint on the wheel well like it did before.

Anyone know of any replacement o-rings / alternatives????

Re: Leaky Master Cylinder Reservoir! Help!

I found a rebuilt MC from O'Reilly's (~$20) came with a new reservoir and was less expensive than buying a replacement reservoir alone.

Anyway the reservoir just presses in and the seals hold it. You may pull yours apart to see what the problem is. A rebuild kit may come with new seals if that's all you need.
