HANDY TIP!
Ever had a leak in your braking system and after you repaired it the darn red brake light keeps glowing?
ofcourse its the warning switch that keeps activated by that proportioning valve. big chance its stuck because of 20 years of sludge in it.
i had a busted rear wheel cylinder and after repairing and bleeding the system i didnt have enough pressure at the rear brakes and the brake switch kept glowing.
i took off the warning switch and noticed the valve was all the way to the rear brake line.
i took off the rear brake line and slided in a drill that fits the little hole in it.
i stuck the putty side of the drill in it and placed it against that stuck valve, a light tap on it and it jumped back in position.
so all i had to do was to disconnect the rear brake line, and bleeding the rear brakes ofcourse.
But it only works if the stuck valve is positioned to the front of the car.
Better this then taking the whole proportioning valve off the car and take it apart i think.
