Couple brake questions

I have the 1LE brakes on the front of my car. I was wondering how these rate compared to other brakes of similar size. I am going to upgrade my pads soon and I was wondering what a good brand is. I have also been considering swapping in an LS1 master cylinder. Would there be any advantage? I have read they are a superior design.

All things being equal (rotor size, caliper design, pads and maybe braided lines), I'd guess the 1LE's do as well as any.

Re: Couple brake questions

Braided lines are on the wish list. I was thinking about slotted rotors first. I was wanting more info on the LS1 mc. I have read conflicting posts on the thread pitch and line length.

Re: Couple brake questions

From what I understand, the LS1 mc will bolt directly to your booster. The two front brake lines will need to be re-bent a bit to fit. It also has a larger piston creating better line pressure. The fittings thread right in.
From what I understand.

Re: Couple brake questions

I have searched for answers on the topic without much luck. This is a start. I have been looking for some comparisons involving performance as well.
