front 1LE-brake cable has no adjustment??...
I just did the drum to rear disc 1LE brake conversion on my 1990 firebird.Every thing went smooth except for the e-brake set-up.
I bought 2 new left and right e-brake cables and hooked them up, but my front e-brake cable going inside my car has no adjuster....
I looked inside the lever console and under my car, above the driveshaft and only see a small cable with a t-clip that holds the 2 L & R cables together...
I called GM today and my local parts store for a disc brake front cable and both say that this front cable has been discontinued and no stock in North America.
Does anyone out there have any suggestions on where I can get this cable from??
thanks

On 1990-1992 there is no adjustment provision above the driveshaft. You can swap in an older one and you'll be fine, just gotta find one.

I believe 82-89 were all adjustable.

I just ran into this problem with my fourth gen rear end swap... We got the rear end in but we were losing brake pressure for some reason. Then my dad remembered his 94 Z28 and how someone told him to adjust it. It's very simple. Just sit in your car and jank the E-Brake a several times and you start to feel it tighten. It might take a few minutes but mine work perfectly fine now. Edit: I forgot to mention, you MUST use your e-brake all the time because that's the only thing that keeps them adjusted!

I may be able to chime in.

Check to see if your spring is bound like this fully applied.
If it is you need to get the other style cables and use a dremel to open there slots up to fit over the caliper e-brake bracket.
