Re: 84 t/a

Most direct swap-in would be a 90-92 Z28 or T/A rear. That would have the GOOD discs, unlike what would have come on your 84; and no changes to the master cyl or prop valve, or anything else, would be required. (except maybe the speedo gear if you get one with a different ratio from whatever you've got now) Absolutely direct bolt-in in every way.

Next most direct would be a 93-02 one; but that would either make your old skinny stock wheels stick way out and look incredibly poseur stupid, or you'd have to go get wheels with the 4th gen offset.

Re: 84 t/a

There's a few ways you can go. Do you want to keep your current gear ratio? If so, I offer drum to disc conversion plates which allow you to swap to the good PBR rear discs without any modifications needed, that thread with pics is here:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/brak...drum-rear.html

I have plates that will hold up to a 13" rear disc for the PBR calipers and will shortly have drum conversion plates ready for C5/C6 rear disc conversions.

If you want to swap gear ratios, I suggest looking for a complete disc rear with the good brakes. If you have trouble finding one for what you want to pay, find a 3.23 or 3.42 drum axle which should be a bit cheaper and install my plates onto it, or I can supply you a complete ready to bolt on rear conversion kit for hundreds less than what the same Baer kit will cost you.

Good luck.
