What is the proper way to setup a vacuum canister?

What is the proper way to setup a vacuum canister?

I got an aluminum one from summit racing...I hooked it up...breaks are still stiff as all hell.

On my factory setup it was like this. Manifold vaccun port to the filter, filter to the t-off and t-off to the Booster/ck valve. On my vacc canister it was Manifold vaccum port to the filter, filter to the t-off, t-off to the Canister/ck valve, Canister out to the Booster/ck valve. I didnt have any issues

i got carb to the can, can to break booster and stiff...no filter...what should i do?
