Road racing, OK. First and foremost what size wheels are you running? We can then discuss the biggest brakes we can into them.

Re: C5 brakes...
How about a matched set of C6 Z51 13.4" brakes all around? They ought to do the trick:

Re: C5 brakes...
everybody stop. i am so freakin confused. there are way too many threads on this brake upgrade. i'm going bananas. i have a 87 trans am with disc/drum brakes. i want to upgrade to a larger disc/disc setup. i've don alot of reading on the LS1 upgrade with turning a set of stock rotors and building caliper mounts. those threads are 5 years old. i'm a cheap bastard and need help. somebody tell me what i'm doing here.i am running 17x9 zr1 style ss wheels from a 99 camaro ss

Re: C5 brakes...
ok...i have a 85 irocz with wat sounds like the same set up as you. i got the brakets from Ed for front and rear C5 brakes. you will have to do the same thing as the LS1 brakes in the front, turn the stock rotors down to get hubs. i estamaited that it would cost me about 900 for front and rear mainly because of the 150 bucks per rotor that im spending. lol. im sure you can do it for much less. Ed Miller, in my opinion, has the most knowelge in this subject and should be more helpful than me! lol
