Hard idle and sputtering

Engine: no engine, 383stroker, inline 6 4.0
Transmission: none, t5, auto
Hard idle and sputtering

car is a 3.1 was driving it down the street stopped at a stop sign hit the gas sputtered back fired and died lol. Ever since then itll start up and idle rough and as soon as i hit the gas bam it dies almost positive its the fuel pump thous always seem too die without notice already in the process of dropping the rear end since im 99% sure on this just thought id throw it up on the board incase anyone else has come across this problem and found it too be somthing completly diffrent then the fuel pump.

Change the fuel filter and see how it runs after that.
