LS1 brake conversion
HI Guy's
Who the best company/person to get the brackets, spindles and hubs from for an LS1 conversion. I've just bought a set of calipers, brackets and disks. Not going to use the disk as I've heard they warp easily. It all came as a package deal.
Thanks,
Alex

Re: LS1 brake conversion
I am cering the LS1 upgrade too, but as I am in Australia I want to save on shipping on the heavy items, so I would like to get a kit and then mod my own spindles, Ed can you PM me the cost of a kit with slotted+drilled rotors and painted calipers?

Re: LS1 brake conversion
hey ed, hate to bombard you with requests. i think i'm going to do this upgrade as well. but only if i can REALLY afford it. i guess what i'm saying is all i need is a set of caliper brackets. i have my own machine shop, but not interested in doing the math/fab to create the bracket. i got the rotor to hub thing down. i can get cheap calipers and pads, i just need the caliper brackets.

Re: LS1 brake conversion
Long holiday weekend, sorry. Can you PM with your full ship to address and info? And do you have a preferred shipping company like Fed Ex or DHL, etc.?
Thank you.

Re: LS1 brake conversion
HI, i'm new here, how is everyone?
I want to convert the brakes on my 1991 camaro to ls1 brakes as well (i found info on the rear but not the front), I have the hole front suspension from a 1998 ls1 camaro( i had the rear to but someone stole the rearend from my tent were it was), So what i need help with is info on how and what is involved in doing the front and rear ls1 brake conversion on my 1991 camaro Z28 with rear drums.
Help with this would be great THANKS!!!!!!

Re: LS1 brake conversion
I am getting ready to install my LS1 kit on to my 91Z. I am pretty sure I have everything covered, but one thing I haven't seen mentioned is the brake lines. Is the hose length and the fittings at the calipers the same from the 3rd gen to the LS1 calipers? I bought new stainless braided lines and I haven't compared the ends or the lengths yet. Just trying to get ready for what problems may lie ahead.
