Missing parts
I installed a 4th GEN rear end last weekend, and am having trouble figuring out what parts if any i am missing to hook up the E-brake. Looking trough the other post for the swap shows pictures of a bracket with a spring coming off the backing plate. Mine has a bracket on the axle and dosent have the sway bar. I am including some pictures of mine and a diagram. My question is, am i missing parts and what cables do i need.

Re: Missing parts
You're getting your rear disc setups mixed up. The small pic you posted is of the 1LE/LT1 rear discs, the other two pics is of a '98-02 LS1 rear disc setup. Next issue is that there is no bolt on direct fit brake cable for the conversion you just did, but I have a vendor working on it for you guys. My test cables should be in the mail as we speak.

Re: Missing parts
What year rear end do i have from the picture not the drawing? I will just buy the cables forthat year and fabricate somthing where they go into 1. I bought it 5 years ago and cant make out the stamped #s on the axle tube.

Re: Missing parts
You have a '98-02 rearend but the cables will still give you a fit. If you search a bit I know other guys have used certain cables from 3rd gens and made them work, try your luck there. The thing you need to know is that the cable ends are different for the different brake setups. No need to be concerned with the numbers on the tubes, it's the brakes and year you need to know.
