aftermarket 9" rear
Okay, Been doing searches for this dilema for weeks now. Hope I have the right board for this. If it's been repeated, which I cannot find in searches I apologize.
I'm looking to buy an aftermarket 9" rear, Currie, Moser ETC.
I'm also looking to upgrade entire brake system front and rear that will fit under my stock 16x8 rims.
Does anyone know of a brake system that will fit front and rear, Baer Etc., and what housing adapters are required for the 9" rears when order is placed.
Money will not be an option.
Looking to keep everything uniform.
Suspension and everything is stock.Currently have BW 9bolt with iron calipers.
I have so far looked at Mosers site. They have chevy 10/12 bolt housing ends that they can install.
Would I be able to bolt up LS-1's directly to that housing end? And if so, What parts are needed for rear LS-1's.
I have seen the front LS-1 upgrade and won't have a problem with that.
My head is spinning, would appreciate any suggestions.

Re: aftermarket 9" rear
for the ls1 rears, you need to order the rear drilled for the ls1 brakes, then you need the backing plates, bolts to attach the plates to the axle, the calipers and caliper brackets along with bolts, brake pads, and you may need to change your flex lines going to the calipers, im not sure.
The parking brake is the trick, the cable would need to be custom made or modified if thats possible.
If money is not an option, you can order 2, setup the same way, and send me one

Re: aftermarket 9" rear
Going to go with ls-1's to keep everything the same front and rear so far.
Anyone happen to have an exploded view or parts number listing for the ls-1 rear system?
I shouldn't say that money is not an option, just that I will be recieving a nice settlement for a spine injury I recieved while working EMS. Lotta fat people in Brooklyn I had to carry and paid a heavy price.
Will be doing alot of the car over, 383, tranny, 9' rear, brakes, paint, interior ETC. Really starts to add up.
Also, are there any changes to be made to the master cylinder, proportioning valve or booster?

Re: aftermarket 9" rear
what is your current brake setup?
the prop vavle needs to be for a disc/disc application
the rest depends on what you have now
