Re: proportioning valve questions...

I heard the same thing when I put a 00' disk rear in my 91 RS. So I went with it, and it works fine. I've stood on the brakes pretty hard a couple times at ~50mph to test a panic stop and the rear didn't lock up before the fronts, however the front's didn't lock up either so it wasn't a totally conclusive test. I haven't had any problems at all though so I will say you are going to be fine.

Go for it, just be sure you test a panic stop on a safe empty road to see how the brakes behave when you need them the most.

Re: proportioning valve questions...

I will be doing a similar swap. I just picked up a disc rear end with 3.23's from an 87. I needed a rear end because mine is about to grenade on me...So it was time to look for a disc rear end. I have heard from some people that they had to change their valves, but others have said there is no need as long as you use the rear valve that is on the disc axle.

Re: proportioning valve questions...

I believe the prop valve is only the same between disk/drum for the 91/92 cars.
