How difficult is this?

When i bought my car, the previous owner had a posi rear end with discs sitting next to it for 200, im picking it up soon and i wanted to know what it would take for me to hook this up. Throwing it up will be easy but im not sure what i need to do to convert my rear drums to the discs it comes with.

i did a search and it brought me to that brake conversion where he cut the flange, do i have to do this or is there an off chance that the disc rear might just be a bolt up and go? Highly unlikely but its always nice to dream...

Also, it looks like its been sitting a bit, any special procedures for cleanin it up or will a thing of brake cleaner and a good scrubbin do the trick?

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Yes. No. Or you could consider Ed Miller's "Hassle Free..." link just below this one.

Re: How difficult is this?

when you say complete is it rotor to rotor, or just the rear minus brakes. also do you just wont a posi or does it have better gears as well. Either way you'll need to change the propotioning valve to a disk/disk valve.

Re: How difficult is this?

to my knowledge is a rotor to rotor with posi and the gears both in it, i think he's got the calipers too but im not sure still waiting for him to get back to me,

as far as the proportioning valve, where is it and how much does it cost to change?
