brake bleeding question

this might be a dumb question, but the search function brought up nothing helpful.

due to the front and rear brake systems being isolated hydraulic circuits, can i assemble and bleed the rear system, then assemble and bleed the front brake system at a different time? all the instructions i found request you do all 4 in sequence, but working without a lift and only 2 jackstands, i don't have the luxury of having the car setup in such a way as i can do all 4 in a row.

thanks everyone
