Rotor hanging up on hub (LS1 swap, front)?
Hey all.
Finally I have the time to install Ed's LS1 kit, and while the passenger side rotor slips right on, there's interference on the driver side. I was able to force the rotor back off, and found that the cad plating is scuffed outboard of each wheel stud on the hub. My worry is that the hub may be stressed by the stud install. If it's normal then I'll just turn the hub a bit. Not easy since the hub is mounted, but I'll live.
I don't have my caliper here but both rotors hang up on that hub while slipping right on to the passenger side hub. Any thoughts? Thanks.

you can get the rotor flush on the hub by putting the wheel on and tightening down all bolts....then untighten, take off wheel and proceed with installation.

Thanks for the idea. I ended up taking a Dremel to the inside on the rotor where it rubs. The rotor references off the center of the hub so I figure that by being careful with the Dremel I'd be fine. It popped right on after a few passes.
I guess the hub simply wasn't turned down as far as the other one. No biggie. At least that part's over.

Every rotor is slightly different so minor tweaks aren't uncommon. My machinist cuts the hubs to + or - .005" and they're usually right on. No biggie, glad you got them going.

Yeah, it was a quick fix. One sanding roll sacrificed to the Dremel gods and it went right on. Thanks for checking in on this one Ed.
