9 bolt e-brake system
Alright, i have oredered cable after cable for my car and cannot seem to get this right, Every single one is either too long, or has the wrong hook ups. I have finally managed to find a set for the rear end, a 1987 9 bolt out of a formula at napa, ( i know i should have tried there first) The problem is, one side is 35$ and the other is 25$, the guy says they are different lengths. Now im asking if anyone who has a 9 bolt, preferably one without the PBR brakes could post up a picture of under their car with the whole system, im hopping the front cable will work from my 91, but i have never seen the system on a car before, i only know what i have so before i order another set of cables, id like to know what im supposed to be getting.
Damn state inspections lol.
Thanks for any help.

Re: 9 bolt e-brake system
your car has the iron calipers on the rear like mine (it has a 9 bolt also..)? on my car the passenger side brake caliper points twoards the front and the drivers to the rear. so that would explain why there are 2 different lengths. it should work, i wouldnt see why not.

Holy crap, I feel for ya pal.
I wen through this same hell with my 9 bolt and PBR's and ended up with CUSTOM MADE rear brake cables that were installed incorrectly and therefore no good. The cables were riding on my drive shaft so we ended up zip tying them to the frame. I am one yank of the e-brake handle away from them being on the drive shaft again.
Anyway, check out these threads:

There are some part numbers in there that I am sure are the right ones THAT DO NOT REQUIRE MODIFICATION but I could be wrong about that.
Good luck!!
