Did I mess up my rear brakes?
OK, I decided to change the pads on my car. Everything else was 100% stock original (car is low mileage). I went with Hawk HPS pads all around. Car is an 89 GTA, 4 disc, non 1LE.
I swapped the front pads, no problem. 10 minute job. Took the car for a test drive. Felt good. Stopped great.
On the rear pads, I made the mistake of C-clamping them. Pedal feel is....alright. Not great. It stops with moderate push. But when you're stopped, although I've got the pedal maybe halfway down, I can push the pedal even farther down on the pedal. Seems like right to the floor.
The brakes also making a "clink" sound when letting off brake pedal at slow speeds (like at stop signs in my subdivision after starting up the car). If I do a harder stop or two, the pedal feel gets better. Takes less pedal to slow the car down.
My wife's 2002 Blazer seems to stop with very little pedal. And it has everything stock right from the factory.
Would re-bleeding the back do the trick? Or did I screw up the brakes by C-clamping the rears? My emergency brake seems high when I pull it up and it does very little in terms of actually being functional.

you should try rebleeding them.....remember to bleed the one farthest from the master first, (passenger rear) and bleed them all not just the rears
