drum brake part compatibility?

i have a 91 camaro RS 10 bolt drum rear, i am changing to a 10 bolt posi (that has frozen up disc brake components), i plan to replace the brake hardware on the posi. my question is not if the drums and disc parts are interchangable, my question is whether the drum brake backing plates, wheel cylinder, shoes and drums are the same on the third gens (or atleast interchangable) with parts from a first generation camaro. i know if i did put the older parts on, it would be both the backing plate and the cylinder since the old cylinders bolt on and the new ones have some clip holding them in. but are they the same size brakes with the same wheel cylinder specs? i know its a strange question, but i have access to the first gen parts cheaper than i do the third gen parts.
