Master Cylinder brands help

Well, this will be my 3rd master cylinder in under a year....

I upgraded my brakes via ed miller earlier this year (Thanks ed!!!). I decided to switch to a 1LE or smaller bore master cylinder since my 86 was originally a 4 wheel disc car with the large bore master.

Anyway, I tried a Bendix model, didn't fit the threads for the brake lines, way to big and english for some reasion . So I bought a remanufactured raybestos one. Well, I bled it and everything was alright, not impressed, but I'm doing some other work on the car so I thought I could look at it later.

Well yesterday I'm in the region and checking things out and the damn thing is leaking!!

My next move is to try a Cardone model. NEW!

Anyone have any experience with that brand? Or any other brands that don't leak and fit correctly for that matter?

This is getting frustrating...

Thanks..

If your 4w disc mc is working fine, I'd just use that. Thats what I switched to when my drum mc wore out. I'm using 1LE front and LS1 rears.

Re: Master Cylinder brands help

Justin,

Thanks for the reply. I actually did just that. I put my old 4wheel disc master back on. It doesn't leak and the pedal is very firm. I have c4 fronts and ls1 rears.

FWIW. I found that the LS1 master cylinder and the 4 wheel disc MC have the same bore size. So in theory they should perform the same?
