I have a 1988 camaro with a 305 tbi. nothing special! my brake master cylinder went out so i ordered one from pepboys. when i got it I bench bled it and put it in. when i went to put the lines on they would not fit. i took it back off and noticed a problem not only were they they wrong size they have an "AN" fitting inside not an inverted flare like the old one did. I have ordered other from other places and they are all the same. i ran into this same problem with my brake hoses but fixed it with a fitting. please help. what is wrong with my car? am i the only one that has had this? if you need pics i can post some.

It's not an AN fitting it's a metric bubble flare, and it's correct for 1988.
no that is what i need sorry i thought it was called an inverted flare. but the one they all have takes a line like the one in this pic.

Yes, those are bubble flares, and they're what an 88 is supposed to have.

Try an M/C for an 82.
